Dr Irene Di Giulio is a biomedical engineer and Senior Lecturer at King’s College London, where she studies how different human bodies move and adapt in health, disease and extreme environments. Her research spans human movement and neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, as well as space physiology and inclusive human spaceflight. Irene leads an international research programme selected by the European Space Agency to study human physiology in support of the Fly! mission, exploring how disability and human diversity can shape our understanding of health, medicine and space exploration.
