Irina Thiry

Irina Thiry is Lab Manager of the Trellis Research Group at KU Leuven, and has over 15 years of experience in making viral vectors for the research and gene therapy community. She is responsible for Trellis' operations and heads its rAAV manufacturing team and facility. Trellis' research focus spans fundamental viral biology work and rAAV manufacturing research all the way to pre-clinical development of promising gene therapies, especially for CNS, hearing and kidney indications. Through its multidisciplinary research and collaborations with academic and industry partners, Trellis aims to advance the development of next-generation gene therapies.
