Janaka Karalliedde

Professor Janaka Karalliedde FRCP PhD School of Cardiovascular Medicine & Metabolic Sciences at King's College London and Consultant Physician in Diabetes, Endocrinology and Internal Medicine at Guy’s and St Thomas Hospital London. Janaka graduated with a distinction in medicine from the University of London and was awarded a PhD for research on the pathophysiology and treatment of cardiovascular disease and renal disease in diabetes. He speaks frequently at national and international meetings, has published widely on cardiovascular and renal disease and led on the ABCD UKKA management guidelines for people with diabetic kidney disease. Janaka has specialist expertise managing patients with renal and cardio-vascular complications related to diabetes at Guy’s and St Thomas Hospital and has also established community based CRM clinics in London working with primary care colleagues focussed on early identification and treatment to reduce cardiovascular and renal complications.
