Jonathan Hinchliffe

Jonathan grew up in West Yorkshire. After graduating from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and earning an MSc in Information Superiority from Cranfield University, he served as a commissioned officer in the British Army. His career included active deployments to Northern Ireland, the former Yugoslavia, Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as assignments across the Americas, Africa and the Middle East. Recognised for his leadership, he commanded frontline combat operations, led national digital transformation and directly supported ministers and Secretaries of State. He also led national services and programmes across the Ministry of Defence, the Home Office and wider central government. Jonathan resigned his Queen’s Commission and joined HSCIC/NHS Digital in 2015, delivering national change programmes and service improvements across NHS care settings.
