Jose Escalante

José Escalante is a highly respected executive in the entertainment and telenovela industry, recognized as a pioneer in expanding Latin telenovelas into previously inaccessible markets such as Europe, Asia, and Africa. He began his career in 1988 at RCTV (later RCTV International), where his vision and leadership led him to rise through multiple executive roles, ultimately becoming General Manager and CEO in 2000. During his tenure at RCTV International, he closed major international distribution deals, including a multimillion-dollar agreement with Univision for Telefutura, and successfully sold formats to Televisa (Mexico), Caracol (Colombia), RTVE (Spain), and other global broadcasters.
