Josemar Afonso

Josemar Euclides João Afonso has served as Angola's Secretary of State for Tourism Assets and Concessions Management since August 2026. With a Master's degree in Management and Public Policy from the University of Lisbon and executive education in strategy from Harvard Business School, he brings extensive experience in strategic consulting, governance and institutional transformation to Angola's tourism sector. Prior to his government appointment, he spent more than a decade at KPMG Angola, where he was a Manager in Management Consulting. During this time, he led projects across transport, civil aviation, telecommunications, agriculture, banking and public administration, contributing to more than 50 institutional and business transformation initiatives.
