Kari Franson

Kari L. Franson PharmD, PhD, FNAP joined the University of Southern California (USC) in 2020. She is the senior associate dean for academic and student affairs and Professor of Clinical Pharmacy. She is an educator with more than 30 years of experience in institutions around the world with expertise in curricular innovation and the development of an interprofessional healthcare workforce. As a U.S. Board-Certified Psychiatric Pharmacist and Netherlands-Certified Clinical Pharmacologist she performed a variety of clinical studies spanning those in early-phase clinical pharmacology to post-marketing studies. She is interested in Cannabis user safety and Sports Pharmacy. She has led the USC Sports Pharmacy Academic Certificate Program since 2023.
