Kate Irvine

Kate is a Cambridge graduate. After a spell in practice and a PhD at Cambridge, she undertook an internship in Clinical Pathology at the University of Bristol and then a residency in Clinical Pathology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, gaining her ACVP Diploma in 2017. Kate has worked with several laboratories in the UK and USA. She joined the DWR Diagnostics Laboratory in 2020 and has worked there through the transition to Antech Diagnostics. Kate became Pathology Manager in 2025 and oversees the Clinical and Anatomic Pathologist teams. Her professional interests include cytology, infectious disease, and method validation.
