Kelly Kapla

Kelly is the VP of Product and Underwriting at Munich Re Specialty North America where she connects real world underwriting experience with the tools and technology reshaping the industry. With more than a decade in underwriting, product, and program management roles, she’s worked across MGAs, carriers, and reinsurers. Her work has centered on bringing new ideas to market and refining strategies that bridge traditional insurance and digital transformation. Today, Kelly focuses on how underwriting gets done, blending data, design, and judgement to ensure automation and AI enhance performance without losing the human expertise that drives great underwriting.
