Kerry
Leader, D.A. Seen
Kerry is a former palliative care nurse who now lives with a permanent disability due to her experience of domestic abuse. Kerry and her son both live with complex PTSD due to their experiences of abuse both within the relationship and post separation. Kerry is a volunteer for East Surrey Domestic Abuse Outreach Service (part of the Surrey Domestic Abuse Partnership) and runs DA SEEN, Surrey's Expert by Experience Network for domestic abuse. Founded during lockdown in 2021 they have become known and respected for difficult conversations with statutory agencies achieving policy and practise change to better the lives of other survivors and their children. DA SEEN have worked with the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, Surrey Police, His Majesty’s Courts and Tribunals Service, the Independent Office For Police Conduct, Rights of Women, Surrey County Council, and Healthwatch to name a few and have just formed part of the Local Family Justice Boards domestic abuse advisory group.
