Kiran Bal

Kiran Bal is Group Head of Data Quality, Metadata and Data Contracts Governance at Lloyds Banking Group (LBG), where she leads the strategy, policy and control framework for data quality, metadata management and approved data sources across the Group. Since joining LBG in 2021, Kiran's team has been instrumental in driving the adoption of consistent data management controls, overseeing the Group’s Data Issue Management capability, and supporting the delivery of trusted, well-governed data at scale. Prior to LBG, Kiran spent almost a decade at EY where she led large-scale data transformation, remediation and assurance programmes for major banking and insurance clients. She has more than 18 years of experience in data management and is recognised for her expertise in data quality, governance and regulatory change.
