Konstantinos Barmpas

Dr. Konstantinos Barmpas is a Staff Research Scientist at Cogitat, where he develops EEG foundation models for clinical and commercial applications. Previously, he was a Research Associate at Imperial College London, where his research focused on generative foundation models for biosignals and their applications in Brain–Computer Interfaces (BCIs). He holds a PhD in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science from Imperial College London. His doctoral thesis explored the intersection of deep learning and BCIs, with a particular focus on differentiable signal processing, geometric deep learning and causality. He is a Fellow of Advance HE (FHEA) and a member of the European Laboratory for Learning and Intelligent Systems (ELLIS).
