Magdalena Otrocka

Magdalena is the Lead Molecular Biologist at Ardigen, an AI drug discovery company. She brings over 20 years of experience in assay development and screening, specializing deeply in high-content and phenotypic screening. Throughout her career, she has worked in big pharma, biotech startups, and major academic core facilities. Her industry background includes roles as a High Content Biologist at AstraZeneca (Sweden), a senior scientist at SienaBiotech (Italy), and an industrial Marie-Curie postdoctoral fellow at Aventis Pharma (France). In academia, she led the Laboratory for Molecular Assays at the Polish Academy of Sciences (EU-OPENSCREEN consortium) and worked at the Chemical Biology Consortium Sweden at Karolinska Institutet. Magdalena holds a PhD in molecular biology from the University of Wrocław, where she also served as an academic teacher alongside her tenure at Karolinska. She is a Councillor and Board Member of the Society of Biomolecular Imaging and Informatics (SBI2).
