Maijang Mpherwane

Maijang Mpherwane is a seasoned broadcaster, financier, and media executive with extensive experience across South Africa’s local and international video entertainment landscape. He currently serves as Group Executive: Video Entertainment at the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC). Maijang holds a BA (Dramatic Art) from the University of the Witwatersrand, a Postgraduate Diploma in Management Practice, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business. As part of his MBA, he completed an international exchange programme at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, majoring in Game Theory, Market Research, and Leadership. His professional journey spans two decades and is deeply rooted in public broadcasting and media finance.
