Mandeep Lally

Mandeep is a Senior Lecturer in Adult Nursing at De Montfort University, Leicester. She teaches across multiple undergraduate and post graduate modules, including clinical skills, professionalism and accountability, impact of research in evidence-based nursing practice and service improvement, as well as nursing skills across undergraduate healthcare programme. She has gained extensive leadership experience across clinical practice working within acute medical wards and the corporate Patient Safety team. Mandeep’s long-standing passion for improving communication during clinical nursing shift handovers, led her to completing the prestigious Florence Nightingale Foundation (FNF) Travel Scholarship and becoming an FNF Scholar. After observing nursing handovers across multiple hospitals in the UK, she shared good practice, co-designed and piloted bedside handovers. This work led to successful benchmarking and embedding of bedside handovers across multiple hospital Trust sites. Mandeep is
