Manel Mendoza

Dr. Manel Mendoza is an Obstetrics and Gynecology specialist and Head of the Placental Insufficiency Unit at Vall d’Hebron University Hospital in Barcelona. He is also codirector of the Maternal-Fetal Medicine group at Vall d’Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) and an Associate Professor at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. His clinical and research work focuses on placental insufficiency, including preeclampsia and fetal growth restriction. Dr. Mendoza has led pioneering research on the use of aspirin in preeclampsia prevention, and angiogenic biomarkers for the management of preeclampsia and fetal growth restriction, including randomized clinical trials published in leading international journals.
