Manuel Pinto

Manuel Pinto is a Principal Scientist at Avacta Therapeutics, leading a team characterizing pre|CISION® compounds alongside mechanistic and translational studies to support clinical development. Previously, he worked at Adaptimmune Limited, supporting discovery of TCR-based cell and gene therapies for cancer treatment. Manuel holds a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Porto followed by a PostDoc, studying peroxisome biogenesis mechanisms, and protein modification by ubiquitin and SUMO as well as the proteases reversing these modifications.
