Matthew Chan

Matthew is an optometrist and clinical academic with specialist interest in medical retina, uveitis and emergency eye care. He combines clinical work at Bristol Eye Hospital and independent practice with his academic role as senior lecturer at Cardiff University, where he leads the College of Optometrists-accredited Higher Certificate in medical retina programme and oversees a specialist medical retina ‘teach and treat’ clinic, supporting the development of advanced clinical skills in optometry.
