Matthew Santer

Matthew Santer is Professor of Aerospace Structures in the Department of Imperial College London. He is also Co-Director of Imperial’s School of Convergence Science in the Space, Security and Telecoms theme. He received a masters’ degree in Engineering Science from the University of Oxford, and a PhD from the University of Cambridge. He has over 25 years’ experience in the space sector, both in industry and academia, in the fields of deployable structures and high-speed flight. Matthew is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society and an Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). He is a former elected chair of the AIAA Spacecraft Structures Technical Committee.
