Matthew Tataryn

Matt is the current Global Director of Financial Crime at Tide Platform Limited and MLRO. Tide provides banking services for SMEs and has a current member base of over 2 million members across 4 locations. Over the past seven years, he has built and scaled Tide’s second line of defence FC teams, designing a Financial Crime function that has evolved alongside the company’s rapid growth and regulatory complexity. Prior to Tide, Matt led Santander’s Financial Crime Apprenticeship Programme, where he focused on developing the next generation of industry professionals. He also brings a wealth of international experience from previous roles at Barclays and Amazon, working across risk management, compliance, and fraud in both corporate and fintech environments. Matt’s approach is grounded in building Financial Crime teams that think beyond the conventional.
