Matthias Gerstl

Matthias Gerstl, BSc, is Energy Data & AI Solutions Lead at Beyond Tech GmbH, where his mission is to help energy companies move from fragmented data to trusted decisions. His work focuses on designing and developing Energy Data Lakehouse platforms that integrate operational, technical, maintenance, market and enterprise data from renewable energy assets such as wind, solar PV, battery storage and hydropower. He works across OT/IT integration, data ingestion, governance, data quality, metadata and AI-ready consumption layers, transforming heterogeneous raw data into trusted data products for Asset Performance Management, analytics, automation and AI. Before joining Beyond Tech, Matthias held digitalisation and product roles at voestalpine High Performance Metals and Air Liquide, managing international projects across Europe and Asia. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Bioengineering, complemented by a technical background in industrial engineering and data processing.
