Mikael Svensson

Svensson is head of Southern Sweden Film Commission at regional film fund Film i Skåne in southern Sweden and president of Nordic Film Commissions, representing a growing network of film commissions across the Nordic region. With extensive experience in film production, regional development and international collaboration, Svensson works to strengthen southern Sweden and the Nordic countries as competitive, sustainable and film-friendly destinations for international film and television production. At Southern Sweden Film Commission, Svensson represents six regions – Skåne, Blekinge, Halland, Kalmar, Kronoberg and Jönköping – and works closely with producers, municipalities, regional organisations and industry professionals to facilitate productions, develop local crew and infrastructure and promote locations across southern Sweden.
