Mike Oswin is Global Head of Market Structure and Innovation at the World Gold Council. Based in London, Mike is responsible for leading the World Gold Council's Market Structure and Innovation initiatives globally, including implementation of its Gold247™ programme aimed at digitalising the wholesale gold market and creating a next-generation ecosystem to act as the backbone for the broader tokenisation of gold. Mike has over 30 years’ experience in global financial markets and exchange groups, with a primary remit to align strategic business objectives with innovative and effective technology solutions. He also represents the World Gold Council on the Precious Metals Working Group at the Financial Markets Standards Board (FMSB), advising on the development of Standards and Spotlight Reviews to improve the transparency, fairness and effectiveness of the global wholesale gold market.
