Olivia Goldhill

Olivia Goldhill is a features editor at New Scientist, focused on health and neuroscience. Her book, Empire of the Mind , explores the race to turn psychedelics into a mental health treatment, and the power of the pharmaceutical industry to control our understanding of mental illness. It will be published in February. She was previously an investigative reporter at STAT and Quartz , and a features writer at The Telegraph . Her work has been recognised by several awards, including British Journalism Awards, Medical Journalists' Association Awards, EPPY awards, and Livingston Awards. She's also a 2024 New America fellow for work on her book.
