Oluwafemi Aro

Oluwafemi is a geologist at Chemostrat Ltd, specialising in chemostratigraphy, sediment provenance analysis, and heavy mineral analysis using Raman spectroscopy. He holds a BSc in Geology from University of Ibadan, Nigeria, an MSc in Petroleum Geoscience from the University of Aberdeen, and a PhD in Geology from Durham University. Prior to joining Chemostrat, he served as a Petrophysicist at Degeconek Nigeria Limited where he led and contributed to a range of petrophysical and field evaluation projects across the Niger Delta Basin. His current work focuses on integrating geochemical and mineralogical techniques to improve sediment provenance interpretation and stratigraphic correlation. By combining chemostratigraphic analysis with Raman spectroscopy of heavy minerals, he investigates sediment source signatures and provenance variations to improve the correlation of sedimentary successions.
