Oystein Soug

Oystein Soug has served as CEO of clinical-stage radiopharmaceutical company Oncoinvent since 2024, leading the company’s Phase 2 development of alpha-emitting radiopharmaceuticals for cancer that have spread to the abdominal cavity. Prior to joining Oncoinvent, he was CEO of Calluna Pharma (previous Arxx Therapeutics) and Circio (previous Targovax). Earlier in his career, Mr. Soug served as CFO of Oslo-listed radiopharmaceutical company Algeta, where he played a key role in the company’s growth and commercialization journey. During his tenure, Algeta successfully launched and completed its Phase 3 trial, launched the radium-223 therapy Xofigo® for prostate cancer, and entered into a strategic commercialization partnership. He later co-led the sale of Algeta to Bayer for USD 3bn. Mr. Soug holds an MSc in Economics and Financial Markets from Universität St. Gallen, Switzerland.
