Pete Orpin

Pete graduated in 1983 from Bristol University. He joined a Leicester practice in 1984, working with colleagues to grow the business from a 4 vet, 10 person predominantly single site business, to a 4 site business with 7 business operations employing over 120 people. Pete has worked as a part time business consultant for Anval since 2000 and helps provide practical insights into how veterinary practices can improve their business operations and achieve their goals. He is also a Director and co- founder of myhealthyherd.com®: a web health management tool to help vets and farmers improve cattle health. He became a Board Member for SPVS in January 2020 and is currently SPVS President. In 2021 He was awarded a Fellowship of the RCVS for Meritorious Contributions to the Profession. Pete’s major passions have always been how to improve the quality of work we can provide for clients whilst achieving a happy well-balanced motivated team.
