Prism

PRISM was founded in 1998 by Julia Caprara, Director of the Opus School of Textile Arts, to showcase the work of its students and tutors. It reflected the school’s ethos of excellence in technical skill and creative exploration. Opus was one of the UK’s leading textile art schools, offering accredited online courses in textiles, embroidery and mixed media to a worldwide student body. Julia’s vision was to nurture creativity and reveal the expressive and emotional power of textiles. Following Julia’s passing in 2010, PRISM became an independent, member-run group. Today, PRISM is an international collective selected biennially for innovation and originality. We meet regularly to exchange ideas and present annual exhibitions at The Art Pavilion, Mile End, London.
