Prof. Jon Dawson

Professor Jon Dawson is Deputy Head of School for Knowledge Exchange and Enterprise in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Southampton, and former Director of the Centre for Human Development, Stem Cells and Regeneration. His research focuses on advanced biomaterials, regenerative medicine and the translation of innovative technologies into clinical applications. A former EPSRC Healthcare Technologies Fellow, he has pioneered nanoclay-based platforms for the controlled delivery of therapeutic proteins and tissue regeneration. He is also co-founder and consultant Chief Technology Officer of Renovos Biologics, a University of Southampton spin-out developing next-generation orthobiologics for bone repair and regeneration.
