Prof Sir Glen Burley

Glen is Chief Executive of the Foundation Group, which brings together South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust, Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust and Wye Valley NHS Trust. He returned to the Group full time in October 2026, having most recently served as Deputy Chief Executive of NHS England. During his time at NHS England, Glen held a senior national leadership role supporting the organisation’s work on financial reset, accountability, and implementation of the new NHS Operating Model. This included work relating to Integrated Care Boards, NHS regions and new provider delivery models referenced within the 10-Year Plan, as well as working closely with the National Chief Financial Officer on the financial architecture reset.
