Rachel Clay

Rachel is a vet working as Clinical Learning and Development Lead within XLVets, with over 25 years’ experience practicing in the UK, across independent, charity and corporate settings. She now focuses on supporting veterinary teams through mentoring, quality improvement and leadership development, working with practices to build confidence, capability and sustainable ways of working. Rachel and her XLVets colleagues help members engage with the XLVets Mentoring Exchange Scheme and deliver a range of mentoring and training initiatives designed to support professionals at all career stages. Rachel is particularly interested in human factors and how teams learn, communicate and perform in practice, and enjoys creating safe, collaborative spaces where members can share experiences and learn from each other. This session will be supported by XLVets members sharing their own mentoring experiences from within practice.
