Richard McVetis

Richard McVetis is a London-based artist who works primarily with hand embroidery, exploring repetition, ritual, and the passage of time. Born in South Africa in 1983, he studied Embroidery at Manchester Metropolitan University and completed an MA in Constructed Textiles at the Royal College of Art. His work ranges from stitched drawings to three-dimensional installations, often reflecting themes of cosmology and deep time. McVetis has exhibited internationally and teaches in the Textiles programme at the Royal College of Art.
