Robert Brigham

Robert was born into the outdoor industry and is now the third generation to run his family business. 93 years since it was founded in a small shop in the Harpurhey area of Manchester, where the family lived upstairs, the Ellis Brigham group has grown to 25 stores nationwide, 14 under their own name, 6 “The North Face” stores, 3 “Outsiders Store” and 2 for brands they distribute across the UK and Europe. The company is still 100% family owned and fiercely proud Mancunians with the company now headquartered in Salford. Robert grew up with the company, selling ski boots from the age of 15, working in the weekends and holidays and two gap years before joining the firm for good straight after a Business Studies degree. Robert took on every job that existed in the business to truly understand how everything worked before becoming Managing Director 16 years ago. Since then, he has further grown the business becoming a disruptor in the industry and his own business by challenging it to addres
