Robert Tomanek

Undersecretary of State Doctor habilitatus (in economics and finance), associate professor at the University of Economics in Katowice (rector in the 2016–2020 term, previously vice-rector in 2008–2016 and vice-dean in 2005–2008). On 24 January 2020 appointed by the President of the Republic of Poland as member of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority. In 2017–2019 he was vice-chairman of the Supervisory Board of Węglokoks S.A., and then the chairman of the Audit Committee. From 04.07.2019 to 21.01.2020, member of the Supervisory Board of JSW SA. In the years 2014–2016 he was a member and vice-chairman of the Supervisory Board of Polskie Radio Katowice S.A. In the years 1992-2004, deputy director and advisor in the Municipal Transport Union of the Upper Silesian Industrial Region. He graduated from the University of Economics in Katowice (1987), where he earned his doctoral (1995) and postdoctoral (2003) degrees.
