Rowden Watson
Materials Engineer, Element Materials Technology
Rowden Watson is a materials engineer with a strong foundation in chemistry, specialising in the exposure testing and analysis of non-metallic materials. His expertise lies in evaluating the performance and reliability of polymers under simulated service ageing conditions, particularly within the energy sector, including failure analysis. Rowden focuses on assessing material feasibility in extreme environments, including supercritical CO₂, hydrogen, super-heated steam, and H₂S. He is actively involved on-going R&D projects and developing bespoke testing capabilities. Member of the ISO 23936 committee and has been awarded the title of Registered Scientist by the UK Science Council.
