Ruby Sayed – is a practicing Barrister, an active private investor and entrepreneur in the Financial & Renewables sectors and, an elected Member of the Court of Common Council for The City of London Corporation. Called to the Bar in 1999, she specialises in complex family law cases in the areas of children at risk, child arrangement orders, abduction, adoption, forced marriage, domestic abuseand divorce. In 2012 she founded a private equity vehicle focussing on the P2P & speciality finance, renewable energy and sustainable sectors. Her current focus is on the development of utility scale solar projects in emerging European markets. She serves as a non-executive director of Gaia RE Developers Ltd. Ruby also has a particular interest in Fintech and represents the City of London Corporation on the Fintech Network Action Group.
