Ruizhi Wang

Dr Ruizhi Wang is the founder and CEO of Abselion, a Cambridge, UK company that develops electrochemical sensing technology for protein analytics. Abselion’s platform, Amperia, quantifies antibodies, host cell proteins, His-tagged proteins and AAV capsids directly from crude bioprocess samples. It’s used by process development and cell line development teams to get analytical results at the pace of their experiments. Ruizhi holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cambridge. He has co-authored around 20 peer-reviewed papers in journals including Nano Letters, ACS Nano and the Journal of the American Chemical Society, with more than 1,100 citations. At Abselion he applies this background to bioprocess analytics: the company’s Amperia platform quantifies antibodies, host cell proteins and AAV capsids directly from crude samples.
