Sarah E. Headland

Dr. Sarah Headland is Director and Head of Biology at Sound Biologics, where she leads discovery and development programs in neurodegeneration and immunology. She has over 12 years of experience in biotechnology and pharmaceutical research, with expertise spanning neuroinflammation, myeloid cell biology, antibody therapeutics, and translational pharmacology. At Sound Biologics, Dr. Headland directs the scientific strategy and preclinical development of novel biologics, with a focus on overcoming the challenges of therapeutic delivery to the central nervous system. She originated and leads the development of RnWay™, a proprietary platform designed to advance the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases. Her work combines fundamental disease biology with innovative therapeutic approaches, translating scientific concepts into preclinical drug development programs.
