Shaheen Myers

Shaheen Myers is an education leader, author, coach and founder of Balance-ed, with over 25 years’ experience across school, local authority and system leadership. Her career has taken her from headship and executive leadership to becoming the first female Pakistani Deputy Director of Education in Leeds, where she held strategic responsibility across a diverse education system of more than 360 schools and settings. She has also worked as an Ofsted inspector and continues to work nationally with leaders, trusts and organisations across education. Shaheen’s work focuses on the human side of leadership: how we create the conditions for people to lead well, remain well and sustain themselves in roles that carry significant responsibility, scrutiny and emotional demand. She is particularly interested in leadership supervision, reflective practice, organisational culture and the relationship between leader wellbeing, workforce retention and outcomes for children and young people.
