Shankar Sridharan

Shankar is a paediatric cardiologist who is passionate about using data, AI, analytics and technology to provide safer, smarter, and kinder health care. He led the digital transformation of Great Ormond Street Hospital to take it from one of the least digitally enabled to HIMSS Level 7 accredited. Shankar established the Digital Research, Innovation and Virtual Environments Unit at GOSH which is a National exemplar for AI and digital health innovation. He leads work to evaluate and scale Ambient Voice Technology across multiple care settings in London. Since 2025 Shankar has been National Clinical Lead for Artificial Intelligence at NHS England.
