Shelley Margetson

V-Bio Ventures is a Belgian life sciences venture capital firm that co-creates startups and invests in early- to mid-stage companies with strong growth potential. Shelley joined as Managing Partner in 2020, bringing over 20 years of experience in senior finance and business roles across European biotechnology companies. As CFO of Merus (MRUS), she led the company’s Nasdaq IPO in May 2016, and later, as CEO of Gadeta, she completed a successful “build-to-buy” transaction with Kite/Gilead. Over the course of her career, Shelley has led numerous funding rounds, managed business exits, and negotiated international deals across three continents. She holds a BA in Business Economics and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
