Simon King

Simon co-founded Inside Travel Group initially as InsideJapan Tours in the year 2000 after three years teaching English in Japan. Alongside his business-partner Alastair Donnelly, Simon has played an instrumental role in growing the business into a leading global Japan specialist tour operator. Headquartered in Bristol, the company has sales offices in the US and Australia, an operations office in Japan, and approximately 320 staff worldwide. Post-pandemic, the company has been growing its InsideAsia brand, taking the ‘Cultural Adventure’ offering to South-East Asia, South Korea, India, and Taiwan. Simon is determined to make sure that business growth leads to ever-greater positive impact. A B Corp since 2023, ITG commits 5% of profits to a Giving Back Fund which supports charities that help families in need to get a much-needed break.
