Siobhan Melia

Siobhan Melia was appointed Chief Executive of Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust in September 2016. Siobhan began her NHS career in 1996 and has worked in a range of roles since. A podiatrist by background, she also holds an MBA (Health Executive). Siobhan is passionate about lifelong learning receiving an Honorary Doctorate degree from the University of Brighton in 2022 in recognition of her major contribution to healthcare services. Siobhan has a strong commitment to making a difference for the communities that rely on the NHS and is dedicated to the local delivery of joined up health and care services. Siobhan was appointed as National Advisor for Community Health Services by NHS England in March 2025.
