Sophie Jones

As CEO of the RTS, which turns 100 in 2027, Sophie Jones leads the educational charity’s work to provide a forum for the television industry discussion through agenda-setting events, conventions and prestigious annual awards. She also oversees the RTS’ championing of wider participation from across the UK in the media industries and support of professionals throughout their careers through its Bursary Schemes and Mini MBA. Sophie was previously Chief Strategy Officer at BPI, joining the music trade association in 2020. Before this, she held senior roles at Channel 4, ITV and ITN, leading public affairs, communications, and diversity/inclusion initiatives.
