Steven Mulholland

Steve Mulholland is Chief Executive Officer of the Construction Plant-hire Association (CPA), the UK’s largest trade association for the construction plant sector, representing almost 2,000 members ranging from independent owner-operators to national firms. Steve began his career in the plant-hire industry in 1989 when he joined Vibroplant PLC (Vp PLC) as an apprentice. Over the following decade, he gained broad experience across the service desk, hire desk, depot and sales management. In 1999, Steve became Director and Co-Owner of Mulholland Plant Services Limited (MPS), the family-run plant-hire business he operated alongside his brother George and father David. Under their leadership, MPS received numerous industry accolades, including a National Transport Award and an IOSH Safety Award, recognising its commitment to operational excellence and health and safety.
