Tammie Loughlin

Tammie is an optical professional, advocate, and founder of Loughlin’s Optics. With lived experience of disability and neurodivergence, alongside over 25 years working across clinical practice, training, and systems design, Tammie brings a deeply human perspective to eye care. Her work is driven by the everyday barriers patients face long before they reach the test chart - from communication and sensory overload to inaccessible processes. Through CPD training, audits, and storytelling, she helps practices re-centre care around people, dignity, and belonging. For Tammie, inclusive vision isn’t a tick box - it’s about making people feel truly seen.
