Thierry Van den Bosch

Prof. Thierry Van den Bosch completed his residency training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at KU Leuven, Belgium, and at the University of Pretoria, South Africa. In 1992, he was appointed Consultant in the Unit of Gynaecologic Oncology at the University of Stellenbosch and Tygerberg Hospital, South Africa, before returning to Belgium in 1994. He subsequently served at Regional Hospital RZ Tienen, UZ Leuven and KU Leuven, and later became Head of Department at RZ Tienen. He was awarded his PhD by KU Leuven in 2007. He is currently Clinical Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at UZ Leuven and serves as Chair of the Scientific Committee of ISUOG. In 2025 he has been awarded a Fellowship ad eundem by the Council of the RCOG. His clinical research is dedicated to endometrial and myometrial pathology, endometriosis, early pregnancy, and fertility exploration.
