In his time, Thomas has worked for the UN in Chile, run a café in northern Mexico and guided group trips all over Europe. But it was in the mid-nineties that the seeds for Pura Aventura were sown, through a chance meeting with his Spanish co-founders in Patagonia. The warmth of the hospitality he received inspired him to start a travel company dedicated to sharing special places, no matter how little known. More than 25 years later, Pura Aventura remains devoted to exceptional, thoughtful travel across Latin America, Portugal, and Spain. The company has been recommended by The Independent, Wanderlust and Condé Nast Traveller for its pioneering sustainability initiatives, and is trusted by BBC Radio 4, The Financial Times and CNN as a voice for responsible travel. Thomas also co-founded the Travel by B Corp collective, championing meaningful, lasting impact in travel.
