Tobias Greese
Co-Founder, cAIclone
Dr. Tobias Greese is a co-founder of cAIclone, a Munich-based deep-tech start-up developing AI-optimized, 3D-printed hydrocyclones for fine-particle separation, with battery recycling as the first target market. At cAIclone he is responsible for application and process development, simulation-driven geometry optimization and scientific partnerships. A physicist by training (M.Sc. Engineering Physics, TUM), he earned his doctorate in electrochemistry at TUM with research on redox flow batteries and brings deep expertise in battery materials, analytics and components. After his PhD he led an engineering team developing battery systems for residential storage and has since worked as an independent technical consultant for battery development. He lectures on batteries and fuel cells in the Master's program in Electrical Engineering at Munich University of Applied Sciences.
