Toufic Machnouk

Toufic Machnouk is managing director of GBRX, the strategic innovation body for Britain’s railway, GBRX is working to advance the adoption of innovative technology across track and train, improving how the railway works for people and developing the skills for a more sustainable future. Prior to this, he created and led the Industry Partnership for Digital Railway, where he mobilised the largest strategic partnership in the sector to deliver a multi-billion-pound investment portfolio. He has pioneered innovative approaches to how industry delivers strategic change, achieving strategic breakthroughs and world firsts. His teams are recognised for achievements in innovation, collaboration, and delivering complex change, receiving prestigious awards. Toufic is passionate about innovation and design thinking, teaching at universities. He holds a degree in engineering design and an executive MBA from the University of Bath.
